Sunday Worship with Communion
Sunday Worship with Communion
Join us for weekly worship services on Sundays at 11 am in our sanctuary. During each Sunday of the Lenten season we share Communion. On this Sunday, we welcome guest preacher, Rev. Rachel Shepherd.
Lent is a season to slow down and pay attention to the road we are walking. For forty days, the church invites us to reflect, to turn around where we need to, and to trust that God is still making a way—even in wilderness places. This Lenten season at Mills River Presbyterian Church, we invite you to journey with us through a Lenten series titled “The Way.” Each Sunday we will explore a different part of “The Way”— from wandering in the wilderness to finding our way home, from choosing love in the face of suffering to stepping into resurrection hope. Together, we will listen for how God is guiding us still.
Just after the beginning of worship service, we gather children to go to Sunday School for pre K-6th grades. Nursery care is also provided for the entirety of the service. We also have a “prayground”, a quiet activity area for children adjacent to the sanctuary.
On the first Sunday of the month we host Fellowship Hour after worship; on the 2nd Sunday of each month we collect donations for our community pantry; and on the 3rd Sunday of each month we share a potluck lunch after worship.
