Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women gives women the opportunity to nurture faith, support missions, learn about justice and peace, and connect with other women. PW supports missions both locally and worldwide. Our “bag ladies” create soft mats from plastic grocery bags for unhoused neighbors.
Mills River Presbyterian’s PW has two monthly bible study circles, a morning and an afternoon, plus a monthly book club. Contact the church office for dates and times of PW events.

“Holy” Hikers
Our Holy Hikers hit the trails in nearby Pisgah National Forest or DuPont State Forest on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to enjoy the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains and the company of good friends. Typically, moderate hikes of 5-7 miles with waterfalls, rivers, mountaintop views and a stop for lunch and a short devotional. All ages are welcome.

Adult Bible Study Classes
Our Christian Education includes an Adult Bible Study on Sunday mornings. We also host special evening studies held occasionally throughout the year. They are always open to everyone to participate. Watch the Events page for details.
Small Groups
A purely social way to get to know others at MRPC, Small Groups are designed for monthly fellowship with about eight people per group. Groups are reorganized each year to increase the opportunities for fellowship. Whether sharing dinner at someone’s home or lunch in a restaurant, the groups meet at convenient times to socialize together.
Men’s Work Group
Men of the church meet Wednesday mornings to work on projects around the church. This group welcomes anyone who can screw in a light bulb, use a hammer or hold a ladder steady … or is just interested in some fellowship and conversation with other Christian men.

Little Free Library
Located in the church’s rear parking lot area near the playground and garden, the Little Free Library is open 24-hours. The mini library is available free to use for people of all ages and holds books for both children and adults. The concept is simple … take a book or share a book.
Little Free Library was established in 2012 as a non-profit organization. There are more than 100,000 Little Free Library book exchanges around the world.
Adopt-A-Highway
During the quarterly clean up, volunteers in bright orange vests pick up trash and recyclable items along School House Road in Mills River. We make sure the two-mile stretch of roadway that runs in front of our church and Mills River Elementary School is well maintained.
